Hello! So we are compiling and submitting our research paper tomorrow :) It had been a long journey, isn't it? Hopefully everyone enjoyed doing their research and yeah, maybe this might help out a little. It's on how to arrange your materials to be submitted tomorrow.

Page 2: Abstract
Page 3: Background
Page 4: Literature Review and Theoretical Framework
Page 5: Research Methodology
Page 6: Findings

Page 8: Appendices
Page 9: References
Attach (NOT STAPLE) 2 marking criteria along with your materials, one with the latest updates of marks up to the discussion part and another blank one with no marks at all. Oh, and instead of binding, use the tape to combine your material :) Basically that's all and hope it helps :P

Findings and Discussion
And seriously, assignments and projects are not treating us well these days :( Anyhow, will pull it through. This week is an extremely important week because this week will be the week we conclude our research on our topics. Mind you, 30 marks! @.@
So to respond to Sarene's post, findings basically is to present the results you get from your methodologies. To make it tidier and more presentable, it is best to categorise your results, like what miss said :) But yeah, results are still making their way in and it's still best to conclude everything in one day and start compiling them up :)
Discussion is mainly to analyse your results, like what you stated in the findings part. It would be fun, but for me, it works the best when everything is in order so that it is easier for me to analyse on stuff and not overlook some important element as well in the same time.
Second last week of the semester! See how fast time flies when we are all busy with our stuff? It's just awesome :D Good luck with your research dear friends! And we can do it, I just know we can :P

Content Analysis E-Book Reference
I guess lots of us are using content analysis as one of our research method right? Here is an e-book on this methodology I find very detail and useful for us, especially for newbies who are not familiar with the method :)
Content Analysis: An Introduction to Its Methodology
I find the topic The Logic of Content Analysis Designs especially useful. Oh, and if you are unsure about the sampling for your research methodology, you can find it in this e-book as well under the topic Sampling. There are lots of brief explanation on the different types of sampling including the random sampling, stratified sampling, cluster sampling, snowball sampling, convenience sampling and so on.
Oh and a small update on what I am doing now. Currently indulging in the research methodologies, as in finding out more about them; and of course, looking for more relevant articles or journals on my topic for literature review and understanding more on my chosen theories :)
Hope it helps :) And hope you enjoyed your weekend :P

Reference on Homosexuality Topic + Updates
Morning! If I am not mistaken, there is/are people who is/are doing topic on homosexuality portrayal in the media, right? I found some reference which might be useful for you :)
Portrayal of Homosexuality in the Media
Unchanging Truth
Homosexuality on TV
Homosexual Space in Thai Society
Creating "Gay" Children
Some update about my research progress. I am doing a topic on Visual Novel, which basically is a type of new media ( not common in Malaysia, though ) with the combination of novel and gaming experience. And basically, I am doing research on the way this media creates an impact on the individuals in the Asian context. This is actually a new topic to be research so yeah, the sources are quite limited. But no worries, definitely be able to pull it through :) I will be using mainly interviews, ethno methodology, content analysis, and secondary research for this topic. Yeah, it's new, so I have to use different methods to get more information and data :)
Proposal done, now on the background research. Actually the information I found regarding this new media is like, overloading? So I have to extract here and there, pick out the important parts of the information to include it in my background information. But anyway, I enjoy doing it and hopefully you enjoy doing yours as well :) Cheers! :D

Journal/Article Refereces on Social Networking Sites Topics
Hey guys! ( I thought we are suppose to post updates on our progress for the research? ). But anyway, is there anyone doing any topics related to social networking sites? Or anyone who is doing research on the way people portray themselves and perhaps, the impact on them? Here's some reference journals/articles for you :)
Self-Presentation and Gender in MySpace
College Students' Social Networking Experiences on Facebook
People's Sensemaking with Social Networking Site
Being Online, Living Offline: The Influence of Social Ties over the Appropriation of Social Networking Sites ( p/s : Janice, this journal will help you much much! :D )
Individual Online Impression Management: Self-Presentation on YouTube
There's all I've got from my bookmark list :) This topic was my initial topic I wanted to do but I changed it in the last minute, that explains how I get the sources XD Anyway, hope it helps for those who are doing it :P Will post up more if I find more of them in my document folders. I would like to post up more journal references for you as well, but Blogger does not allow me to upload any documents so I will have to upload the journals/articles to an external source first then I will post the links here, aight? :) Good luck doing research :D
p/s : I think we should have a list of the topics everyone is doing so that it would be easier for everyone to help out in each others topics. What to do you think, class rep? :P
